I have had a rather annoying problem with Windows Task Manager where ordering the process list in task manager by any one of the column headers would take quite long, making it impractical to switch between sorting by CPU usage or process name, for example.

It turns out that the problem is the Group by type setting under the View menu in task manager. If you disable this setting then ordering by column is much faster.
